Richard Walch

Richard is specialized in Action Sports photography - snow and water are his favorite elements. The foundation of his professional career was shooting snowboarding - his goal being to find the best snow around the globe. In 2005 he became the official team photographer for the German Americas Cup Team in Valencia and published a coffee table book about the most prestigious sailing event.

His list of clients include Audi, Apple, Canon, Oakley, Tommy Hilfiger, RedBull and Velux5ocenas.

In 2008 Richard was the first European photographer who had a chance to shoot an HD video with the prototype of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. "When I test a new product I ask myself 'what's new? what's different? how can it change the way I shoot images or video?'" explains Richard. Within one year of shooting HD Video with a DSLR camera, Richards first TV commercial for the tourist region of Tirol was broadcasted. Richard put his gear through a very rough test and he has been using SanDisk cards from when he started shooting digital photography. "I trust SanDisk when shooting stills and video because the cards are ultra fast and reliable no matter how rough it gets."
