Michael Grecco

Michael Grecco is an award-winning, internationally renowned director and photographer of celebrity portraits, advertising and editorial commissions, and original fine art pieces (which are held in many private collections). One of the most respected visual storytellers in the world, his conceptual vision and signature dramatic lighting create distinctive images that are evocative. Grecco has shot portraits of some of the world’s most recognized stars including Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Will Ferrell, and Penelope Cruz.

Known not only for his high-concept imagery and masterful lighting, Grecco is also valued for his innate ability to connect with each subject to bring out surprising nuance and conceptual twists that make even the most recognizable faces intriguing and fresh. He delivers on every aspect of his client’s vision, satisfying the most recognized brands including Apple, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Direct TV, and Pfizer. Currently, Grecco’s multi-media “Days of Punk” exhibition – which premiered at Photo London 2021 – is on view at La Térmica Museum in Malaga and will continue to travel the world, internationally and in the U.S. The centerpiece of the show is the photographs in Grecco’s most recent book, Punk, Post Punk, New Wave: Onstage, Backstage, In Your Face, 1978–1991 (Abrams). These images were previously unseen until the book’s release.
